“Sophisticated Charm of Old Hyde Park” is what one magazine reviewer has already said about the beautiful inside décor at Bailey’s. And we’ve made the outdoor sidewalk cafe just as picturesque, creating an inviting French country atmosphere that will enchant you and your guests.

My roots are here in Old Hyde Park – I lived and rode my bike around these parts daily. Matter of fact, I’d fill my bike tires with air at the Phillips 66 station just a couple blocks over (it’s now a condo), while enjoying an ice cold Grape NeHi and a tasty moon pie. At the time, that was “fine food.” Still is in my book.

About four years ago, I started Bailey Catering; and many of my clients kept after me to start a restaurant. It was difficult for me to decide what type of food to serve because I love to cook (and eat) everything from gourmet French, Northern & Southern Italian, Lebanese, Authentic Spanish, Indian, Cajun, Pacific Rim, Cuban, Soul or Country. You name the region, and my culinary heart beats…with gusto!

For way too long, South Tampa has been missing a place where one can enjoy good home cooked comfort food. That is where my mind went first…so here it is - “Comfort Food” from around the States and around the Globe.

We will start slow and small, while we build a loyal following with our great tasting, high quality food…using only the finest and freshest ingredients from the marketplace. Our menu will change each of the nights we are open… offering 3 each of appetizers, soups, entrees, and desserts. We have highlighted some of the food we will be cooking inside this menu which can be viewed by clicking on the link at the end of this note.

Come hungry… for no little California-style portions will be served here. And remember, you can order all our food “to go” - but you’ll really miss our smiling faces.

It is my sincere hope that you will find Bailey’s friendly atmosphere as comfortable as the homiest of kitchens, the food scrumptious, and our laughter infectious. In short, I want you to enjoy every minute of your experience at Bailey’s; and every morsel of your food…and come back often…y-hear!
